The Americanism is defined in the context of America not based on where people came from, nor what their gender or religion is, nor what their color is. Americanism is also about recognizing right of every citizen is protected as defined in the Constitution. Americanism is also something else. Call it an ideology, a philosophy, a view of the world; at heart it is about the American republic, its empire, and supremacy in the world.
The last thing America needs is anti-Americans attitude within the country manipulated by media, pundits, politicians and special interest advocates. It is high time American people see America as their country and it's about time we as Americans figure out how not to succumb to unwanted divisive forces.
Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement caught on because country has been methodically hijacked by divisions by people with special interests. Americanism needs to be emphasized. Americanism is not about emphasizing of being White but about everyone who is willing to keep America great through each one's exceptionalism within.
Americanism means attaining in greatness by mixing best values from all cultures. Americanism is about blending of values so that mixture is set of best values to blend as part of Americanism.
It is America's tolerance that has led to a number of special groups to create divisions in the country. Since our childhood, we have been trained to see things ‘relatively'. Someone else's failure is seen as an essential condition of our success. The special interest folks do not propagate what is good in America but how America has been bad. No longer is the pride in America emphasized. Even media goes at length giving elaborate coverage to those who protest and make mockery of America.
There is absolutely nothing wrong in propagating one's religious or ethnic ideals. After all connection with one's own roots is what keeps us true to ourselves. But when such propagation despises the American ways, it goes against the true spirit of ‘Americanism'.
The “Americanism” is not intended as a ‘Nationalist' concept but recognizing, and ultimately accepting, that ultimately we are all Americans first. It does not matter which religion we belong to. It doesn't matter where we immigrated from. We are Americans and the country's interest comes first.
